Happy Fourth of July!!

So we had a nice 4th of July. We both had the day off work and so we just lounged around in the morning. Then the air show started around 1:00pm and Dean kept running to the window every time he heard a plane fly over and was really wanting to see the show. I told him he should just go, but he didn't want to leave me home. I had just got into the shower when the airplanes started to fly over. Finally i told him if he didn't just go he would miss the whole thing waiting for me to get ready and so he went and took lots of good pictures for me. :-) He had that cute little boy gleam in his eye when he came back from the show. Then we had a little BBQ with just the two of us and we went to a little place that wasn't too busy with a great view of the fireworks. It was nice, not too busy and we could enjoy the show, it has been a while since either of us has really been able to enjoy fireworks on the 4th of July. I kept thinking next year we will have a little guy tagging along with us on foot and not in my belly... yeah!! :-)

A sweet view of Mt. Rainier...

Mom & Dad Simmons...

Dean's Birthday Dinner! :-)

Happy One Year Anniversary!!

"Look Ida, I went on a shopping Spree for my Sweetheart, but don't worry i didn't spend a Hundred Grand on this. Remember more than one year ago when you were dating Nerds and Goobers? Well, its a good thing that you decided to Take 5 and make a Fast Break away from those losers that like to go to the Symphony and such, and found your numero Uno Big Hunk named Dean, who always had a Whopper of an Extra large Crush on you! Now we are married and this last year was Mounds of fun and there have been no Sour Patches on our non-Rocky Road of bliss. Now we can have Sugar Babies together and say, 'Who here likes Gold?' I am glad that we are together!
Hugs & Kisses,
from Dean"

This is the candy gram that Dean surprised me with the morning of our one year anniversary June 27th (which is also his birthday). What an awesome husband i have. It was his birthday and the best I could come up with was making him breakfast in bed and taking him shopping for a few things that he was wanting to get. Sometimes i wonder how i got so lucky to have such a sweet guy!! Anyway, we had a wonderful day and it was nice thinking back on the last year and all the good memories. We went to see our friends get married in the Temple as well and that was a really cool thing because we were able to relive those moments again and remember our wedding without all the other distractions that are normal on one of the biggest days of your life. Then we went to dinner with Dean's parents for his birthday treat from them.

Now we are just a few weeks away from having a new little baby boy and beginning a new and wonderfully exciting adventure learning how to be good parents. :-) We are so blessed! I know it will be challenging, but the things in life that we love the most require somthing of us and that is why they are so valuable to us, we gave of ourselves for them. At least that is my philosophy! ;-)!!

Baby on the Way

So here i am and the time is ticking away... not that i am paying any attention... hehe! Each day it seems like my clothes get tighter and tighter and i am wondering if it is possible for the baby to grow any more. Dean has been such a great support and a shoulder to cry on when i have those hormonal moments of I can't take it any more for one reason or the other. Really I am doing quite well and my recent itching breakout has subsided. I think it was an allergic reaction to the laundry soap i was using, but i don't know for sure. Anyway, we are so excited to meet our little baby and feel so blessed!
